The Green&Blue Swift Block is created as an alternative nesting site for the declining swift population. This beautiful Swift Block features an internal nesting bowl and a small entrance hole to deter larger birds and predators.
The box can be build into blockwork or mounted onto the exterior wall. It is designed to fit flush in a wall or to render up to the entrance cavity.
The Swift Blocks are to be build in or hung op at least 5m from the ground. In an ideal situation, the box is situated on a side of the building that gets shade during the day or under an overhang or the eaves. Swifts are happy to nest near one another and a minimum of two Swift Blocks per house is adviced.
