The Song Meter Micro 2 replaces the Song Meter Micro as the smallest acoustic recorder from the Wildlife Acoustics brand. This new generation offers longer battery life and improved water resistance. Record birds, amphibians and other animals in the acoustic range for up to 240 hours using just 3 AA alkaline or NiMH rechargeable batteries. The Song Meter Micro 2 is a compact and durable audio recorder at an affordable price, ideal for using multiple recorders simultaneously for more extensive data collection. The redesigned hinged enclosure, featuring a new tripod mount, not only enhances setup comfort but also enables the enclosure to be secured with a cable lock.
Install the Song Meter Micro 2 in any desired location, configure the settings through the complimentary Song Meter Configurator app, and record the vocalizations of birds, frogs, and other wildlife. The Song Meter Micro 2 is supplied without batteries and a microSD card.

App compatibility
The Song Meter Configurator App will work with most smartphones or tablets that run either iOS 12 or Android 8.0 or later. The one major exception we've found is Android devices produced by Huawei, which do not use the same Bluetooth implementation as other Android manufacturers.
