General
The HI96822 is a portable digital refractometer to determine the salt content (salinity) in natural or artificial sea water and brackish water. Works with subjective interpretations of the concentrations by different operators! Results are displayed digitally and the results are compensated temperature. For the price of a mechanical refractometer you get from Hanna instruments a professional digital refractometer.

The instrument is equipped with an automatic temperature compensation and operates according to internationally recognized credentials (calculates algorithms, not sodium chloride content). The results are displayed simultaneously with the temperature in ° C. Values can be displayed in three different ways on the display in PSU (Pratical Salinity Units), ppt (salinity in g / l) or Specific Gravity (SG 20/20).
