The Guide Fusion Thermal/Night Vision Monocular TL650 from the Guide Fusion TL series is among the most high-end image fusion cameras.
What exactly is image fusion?
"Image fusion" incorporates the latest technology and provides a mix of a thermal image and a black/white optical night vision image. While the environment in visible image is displayed in unprecedented clarity, the hottest objects in the image become instantly visible based on their heat source. For example, you can view the trees in the forest with full detail, while the outline of a human/animal is highlighted in a striking color. But you can also switch off one of the two functions. For example, you can use thermal imaging only, to easily detect people or animals, without being distracted by the rest of the environment.
About the Guide Fusion TL Series
The TL Series are the first multispectral fusion thermal monoculars of Guide Sensmart whose all-in-one design meets the needs of all-day and all-weather observation. Its IP67 certification means it performs optimally in harsh weather conditions and challenging environments.
Like other models in the TL Series, the Guide Fusion Thermal/Night Vision Monocular TL650 is equipped with a 12μm high-end thermal sensor, 1920×1080 CMOS sensor and 1920×1080 AMOLED display, which offers significantly sharp and richly contrasted images with an integrated laser rangefinder with up to 600m accurate ranging. Integrated with a built-in GPS, laser rangefinder, and gyroscope, target latitude and longitude, target distance, and device angle information can be obtained for quick finding, observing and recording wildlife.
The Guide Fusion Thermal/Night Vision Monocular TL650 provides an all-in-one design for all-day and all-weather observations with integrated thermal and night vision, allows use during both the daytime and the nighttime with a quick search and subject identification.
The integrated HD thermal detector and digital sensor creates high-quality thermal imaging and night vision with clear distinctions for improved recognition of animals, their body parts, and even minute elements such as branches, leaves, grass and other landscape features during day and night.
The high resolution 0.39'' 1920×1080 AMOLED display is capable of lower power consumption, wider viewing angle and richer color that contribute to better observation details.
Like other models in the TL Series, the Guide Fusion Thermal/Night Vision Monocular TL650 comes with a built-in high-precision laser range finder it is possible to achieve 600m accurate laser ranging which allows for the precise distance information of animals or subjects without calibration. It is not recommended to look into the source or beam.
The built-in GPS systems display the latitude and longitude of the object or animal of interest to allow accurate positioning. This can be very useful for accurate observations and monitoring of wildlife, and obtaining valuable environmental, behavioural or ecological information. Integrated with a built-in laser rangefinder and gyroscope, the distance to the animal and device angle information can be obtained for quickly finding and following of animals.
Like all models in the TL Series, the Guide Fusion Thermal/Night Vision Monocular TL650 has combined multispectral viewing modes. This means that you can use several distinct image modes including a conventional thermal monocular with the choice of 5 color palettes, a highly detailed daylight & night vision optical camera, or the unique Fusion mode which adds the detail from the optical image to boost the performance of the thermal channel, delivering the ultimate in detection and detail.
Everything you see you can capture in photos and videos. These are stored on the internal 64GB memory. You can also connect the device with Wi-fi. This allows you to watch live via your smartphone/tablet, control the camera remotely and take recordings remotely.
The device has a comfortable hand strap that allows you to hold the viewer securely at all times. Power is provided by one rechargeable 18650 battery, which provides a usage time of no less than five hours. The camera is easy to carry thanks to its light weight and compact size.
The Guide Fusion Thermal/Night Vision Monocular TL650 is together with the Guide Fusion Thermal/Night Vision Monocular TL630 part of the TL Series 640×480. These models provide the highest thermal resolution (640×480@12μm) and come both with a digital lens of 17mm (with a diaphragm of F1.4).
Guide Fusion Thermal/Night Vision Monocular TL650 versus TL630
The Guide Fusion Thermal/Night Vision Monocular TL650 shares many features with the Guide Fusion Thermal/Night Vision Monocular TL630, but the TL650 comes with a 50 mm thermal objective lens (instead of a 35 mm lens).
providing a broader Field of View (12.4°×9.3°) of ~22×16m at 100 meter distance. This makes the Guide Fusion Thermal/Night Vision Monocular TL630 more suitable to observe e.g. bats than the TL650. But the device can also be used for a wide range of other wildlife, such as owls, frogs and mammals. With a magnification of 1.5x-12x the 35 mm lens of the Guide Fusion Thermal/Night Vision Monocular TL630 allows to detect subjects or animals at a distance of up to 1800m. With a weight of 530 gram and a size of 18×7×9 cm the physical size of the TL630 is also slightly smaller than the TL650.
