The burnt-in silhouette and the Latin name already indicate that this nest box is intended for the Wren. It offers a good place to nest and in winter the nest box often proves a good service for the birds to shelter from bad weather.
Place the nest box on a tree or wall, at a height of up to 2 meters, in a well-hidden place between dense bushes or ivy plants, in a quiet and somewhat sheltered place, so not directly in the sun or on the rain side, with a free flight path for the bird. Hang i.v.m. the territory of the birds the nest box at least 10 meters away from nest boxes intended for the same type of bird and at least 3 meters away from feed houses. Autumn is the best time to clean the nest box.
