The Xeofón, made by Tremor Labs in Spain, is a high sensitivity omnidirectional Geophone for Field Recording.
The sensor inside is originally crafted for seismic measurements meticulously selected to serve your field recording needs. Its versatility extends beyond expectations, allowing you to capture subtle vibrations in diverse material and is real fun on metal surfaces as well.
A geophone is a device that generates electrical signals proportional to the velocity of the particles in a sound wave. They are mainly used to measure sound waves propagating through the earth or vibrations of different materials.
Detecting life under sand is a possible application of this geophone.
This geophone has been designed for experimental sound practice and low frequency recording.
Supplied with a 1.5 m of shielded Sommer High flex cable and an XLR balanced, gold-plated black Neutrik connector.
