The BirdMic audio interface is an electronic device that is used to send the audio signal to any device while allowing you to monitor the sound. This allows you to record directly on your smartphone and use it with a bird identification application in real time. Any tablet or PC could also be used. This interface amplifies the sound and allows the signal to be simply modulated. It can minimize bass sounds (roads, airplanes, tractors) and expand the entire spectrum when the sound is very weak. This is done using the CUT and BOOST buttons, respectively.
It is a self-powered interface, therefore it does not need to be connected to any USB device to work. That is, you can use it to send the sound to a video camera and monitor the audio (for those cameras that do not have this function) or any device with a jack input.
The small size and battery life (up to 12 hours) make it a perfect substitute for the field recorder. By recording directly on your smartphone, it makes it easier to manage and subsequently edit all your recordings. You can upload them directly to the cloud or you could even share the live experience with a video conferencing application.
Works with any microphone that doesn't require phantom power. Any microphone that has a standard jack. But it is specially designed for the BirdFox BirdMic.
